Sarah Schaffer (previously Bouchard) grew up training dogs, horses, donkeys, and any animal she could find on our farm. She has experience with some of the top dog and horse trainers in the country and has always had the patience and knack for training our dogs. When the client demand was presented to Sarah she was requested to train puppies for clients before they were placed in the home. She started doing this as a full training service in 2014 and has since trained several of our puppies to be the perfect addition into your family with an easy and seamless transition. Sarah has a strong emphasis on positive reinforcement and treats each puppy like it is her own family member. The unique charm of First Foundations Puppy Boot Camp is that Sarah guarantees that your dog will be the only dog in training and will provide training in her home 24/7 as if it is her own puppy. 

Sarah tailors to new puppies and training your pup starting at 8 weeks old because this allows for them to build a correct foundation before any problems can arise. The puppy lives with Sarah for 1-4 months starting when they are 8 weeks old. She teaches crate training, potty training, leash manners, basic obedience, and tailors other skills to the needs of the owner and the amount of time in training. She puts a large emphasis on socialization and you can expect your pup to be taken to stores, restaurants, and many places where they will have the opportunity to be socialized and continue to work on their obedience skills in a distracting atmosphere. She is always available for you to check in on your puppy and sends monthly PupDates of your dog’s progress along with pictures and videos throughout the days of training. This program is ideal for the working family that does not have the time or desire to be monitoring your puppy for the first few months of training. Sarah is also available to any future questions and there to give advice as your dog matures and may test the boundaries. FFPBC’s training advice goes far beyond the allotted training months.
